Esfandiyār
Esfandiyār was a legendary Iranian hero, the son and crown prince of the Kayanian King Goshtasp and Queen Katāyoun. He was best known for his tragic battle with Rostam, one of the longest and most exciting episodes in the Shahnameh.
Rostam
Rostam, the greatest of Iranian paladins, was the son of Zāl and Rudaba. He was immortalized by the 10th-century Persian poet Ferdowsi in the Shahnameh, or Epic of Kings. Rostam is best known for his tragic fight with Esfandiyār, his expedition to Mazandaran, and for tragically fighting and killing his son, Sohrab, without knowing who his opponent was. He was also known for the story of Seven Labours. Rostam was eventually killed by Shaghad, his half-brother.
Div-e Sepid
The White Demon, Div-e Sepid, is a terrifying creature. He is huge and strong, and he possesses powerful magical abilities. He uses his magic to destroy the army of Kay Kavus, the king of Iran, and then captures Kay Kavus and his men. He imprisons them in a dungeon and blinds them.
The greatest Persian hero, Rostam, undertakes a series of seven labors to free his sovereign. In the final labor, he slays the White Demon and uses his heart and blood to cure the blindness of the king and the captured Persian heroes. Rostam also takes the Div's head as a helmet and is often pictured wearing it.
Tahmineh
Tahmineh was a beautiful princess who lived in Samangan. She was the daughter of Samanganshah, the sovereign of Samangan. One day, a great warrior named Rostam came to Samangan. He was on a quest to find the bravest warrior in the world. Tahmineh was impressed by Rostam's strength and courage, and she fell in love with him.
Rostam also fell in love with Tahmineh, but he knew that he could not stay in Samangan. He had to continue his quest. Tahmineh was heartbroken, but she knew that she had to let Rostam go.
Rostam left Samangan, and Tahmineh was left alone. She was pregnant with Rostam's child, but she did not know how to tell her father. She was afraid that he would not approve of her relationship with Rostam.
One day, Tahmineh's father came to her and told her that he had arranged a marriage for her. Tahmineh was horrified. She did not want to marry anyone else but Rostam.
Tahmineh decided to run away from home. She traveled to the mountains, where she gave birth to a son. She named him Sohrab
