In the Hermitcraft S9 server, a new Vex AI had been created by Xisuma. This Vex AI was infected with Sculk, giving it unique abilities and powers. The Sculk-infected Vex hybrid, known as Cubfan135, had a mission to replace all the normal torches in the server with Soul/Sculk ones.
